About Troop 709 …

Started by Alan Pfaff and a small group of scouts on April 1, 2001, Troop 709 was a continuation of the Boy Scout Troop  Alan was  involved in as a young Scout. 

Like the troop of his youth, this new Troop 709 was founded on the classic values of the Boy Scouts of America and with the belief that for a boy to grow into a responsible, mature leader, he must learn the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law and live them each day.

Troop 709 has already  produced twenty-four  Eagle Scouts in its short history and has committed itself to developing future leaders in the way of Baden Powell. 

The philosophy and mission of Troop 709 is simply stated in a brick placed at the Flower Mound Library. It says …
